Big changes are coming in 2014 for people obtaining their GED (general educational development) certificates.
Those who have taken the current test, but have not passed all five parts have only until Dec. 18, 2013, to take the current test, according to information from the Kentucky Department of Education. If they do not pass all five parts by that date, they will need to start over again in 2014 with the new GED test.
The new test will also be given only on computers at designated locations.
