ECTC outlines registration for spring semester

Financial aid still available

Students are encouraged to apply now and register soon for spring semester classes, which begin Jan. 11 at Elizabethtown Community and Technical College.

“Students should get their applications in now so that they have all their paperwork in place for registration in January,” said Dr. Thelma White, ECTC President/CEO. “Our financial aid office can help with advice and assistance, and admissions professionals are available to answer any questions students might have.” Financial aid still is available for spring semester. Students should submit their 2009-2010 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) as soon as possible, if they have not already done so.

Registration for classes will be held Jan. 6-7 for classes starting Jan. 11. Students will register according to a schedule based on their last names. The schedule is Wednesday, Jan. 6: 9-10:30 a.m. – T-Z; 10:30-noon – Q-S; 1-2:30 p.m. – N-P; 2:30-4 p.m. – L-M; 4-6 p.m. – L-Z; Thursday, Jan. 7: 9-10:30 a.m. – H-K; 10:30-noon – E-G; 1- 2:30 p.m. – C-D; 2:30-4 p.m. – A-B; 4-6 p.m. – A-Z.

Students may register for classes any time after their assigned time, but not before.

ECTC offers more than 30 programs, including transfer options, associate in arts, associate in science, associate in applied science degrees, diplomas and certificates. The programs include air conditioning technology, automotive technology, business administration, carpentry, computer-aided drafting, criminal justice, culinary arts, dental hygiene and dental assisting, diesel technology, education, electrical technology, engineering technology, fire and rescue science, general occupational-technical studies, human services, industrial maintenance technology, information technology, interdisciplinary early childhood education, machine tool technology, medical Information Technology, nursing, office systems technology, plumbing technology, practical nursing, quality management systems, radiography, respiratory care and welding technology.

Open registration for all students will be held at Fort Knox from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Jan. 6 and 7. 

Schedule adjustments will be made on main campus and at Fort Knox from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Jan. 11 and 12.

Tuition and fees are due no later than Jan. 15.

ECTC offices will be closed from Saturday, Dec. 19, through Sunday, Jan. 3.
