Downtown Hodgenville will be filled with ghosts, ghoulies, fairies, princesses and ninjas next Wednesday, Oct. 31, with Halloween festivities.

Trick-or-Treat for both county and city residents is 6-to-8 that evening.

The hugely popular Trick-or-Treat on the Square, sponsored by the LaRue County Chamber of Commerce and the City of Hodgenville, will be held during the same hours.

Local businesses and residents will set up stops on Lincoln Square to pass out treats. The Square will be closed to vehicular traffic during those hours.

The costume contest for children up to age 12 will begin promptly at 5:30 p.m. with sign-up at 5 p.m. Divisions are funniest, cutest, most original and scariest.

Entry forms are available at the Chamber of Commerce on Lincoln Square or The LaRue County Herald News, 40 Shawnee Drive, Hodgenville.

Participation fee for the contest is $3 for early registration; $5 for day of contest.

For more information about the contest or setting up a tour stop, call the Chamber at 358-3411.
