Christina Durbin, a sixth grader, finished first out of 22 runners in the middle school race at the Barren County Invitational meet Aug. 26.
Harley Keller, also in the sixth grade, took third, and seventh grade runner Sydney Price ran fourth.
"I was very impressed with our runners taking first, third, and fourth," said Samantha Ray, LaRue's coach. "This shows that we have a lot to look forward to in the future as these girls get older."
Among veteran runners, Amarah Reed ran 18th and Meagan Williams 20th out of 81 runners.
