The driver of a truck involved in a fatal collision last week has been charged with reckless homicide.
LaRue County Deputy Russell McCoy said Brian Christopher Smith, 27, of River Road, knew the brakes on his pickup were faulty before the Nov. 22 crash occurred – but continued to drive it. The wreck resulted in three injuries and one death.
Smith was also charged with driving on a revoked or suspended license and failure of non-owner to provide insurance, according to McCoy. Warrants for contempt of court and theft by deception were served also.
