Only a few years ago, the main offerings at the LaRue County Public Library were books, newspapers, a handful of books-on-tape and a modest vinyl record collection.

Today, there is still plenty of reading material but an increasing emphasis on new technologies as the staff attempts to meet customer expectations. The latest novels remain popular, but there is a growing demand for computer time and DVDs – both documentaries and new movie releases.
