Division of Water extends deadline for comments on water sources

 The Kentucky Division of Water has extended its comment period until Oct. 15, on its draft  2012 list of impaired waters, as required by the federal Clean Water Act.

Section 305(b) of the Act requires each state to monitor, assess and report on the quality of its water relative to designated uses established in accordance with Kentucky╒s water quality standards. This biennial report is known as the Integrated Report to Congress on the Condition of Water Resources in Kentucky, Volume 1.
