Kelton Ford isn’t a big social studies or history buff, but suffice to say LaRue County’s standout sophomore point guard liked learning from history.
After struggling offensively in his Hawks’ two regular-season wins against Green County, Ford had no trouble getting in a rhythm against the third-seeded Dragons on Tuesday night in the 18th District Tournament semifinals. Ford hit his first five shots and scored his team’s first 12 points en route to career-high 32 points to lead the second-seeded Hawks to a 78-68 win.
