The Hardin & LaRue Diabetes Coalition will meet 6 p.m. May 3 at the LaRue County Extension Service office. It is open to anyone with interest in early diagnosis, reduction of complications, prevention and elimination of diabetes.

The program “Managing Your Meals” will be 9-10 a.m. May 16 at the Lincoln Museum Community Room. The initial class will go over how to follow a meal plan, and gather necessary information to develop a meal plan for each individual.
A follow-up class is 11 a.m.-noon and reviews how each individual is doing with their meal plans and teach a new topic, including sticking to a meal plan, label reading, exercise and eating.
The classes and meal plans will be conducted by a registered dietitian or nurse depending on topic and availability. Registration is required by calling 270-769-1601, Ext. 1035.
