Daisy troop plants rose bush at Sunrise

-A A +A

Daisy Girl Scout Troop 1106 planted a knockout rosebush April 21 at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home. This planting fulfilled their take-action project for the 2011-12 school year. The Girl Scouts also met the requirements to earn their “make the world a better place” petal and the “Golden Honey Bee Award.” Before they planted the rosebush, which was donated by Lee’s, they showed it to all of the residents since the weather prohibited the residents from being able to come outside. A marker was also placed beside the rosebush to mark the occasion.
