The Lady Hawks have been led all season by their two seniors, shortstop Christian Cox and second baseman Megan Mauldin. While slightly disappointed with the season that the Lady Hawks have had, the two were looking forward to postseason play.
“We’ve put a lot of work into this season. We both do a lot of work on the side preparing for softball like lifting weights, running and working out,” Cox said.
Mauldin said she was working to improve her speed.
Cox will attend Murray State University in the fall on a softball scholarship, majoring in prosthetics.
Mauldin, while still undecided, is planning on attending either Lindsey Wilson College or Elizabethtown Community and Technical College and major in nursing.
