Charges against Hodgenville Mayor Terry Cruse and City Clerk MaDonna Hornback are not likely to be resolved quickly.
Cruse, who faces 14 felonies, and Hornback, who faces 55 felonies, say they will plead innocent at their first court appearance Jan. 6. Neither plans to relinquish their position with the city.
Indictments by a grand jury typically take months to make it through the circuit court system.
Cruse and Hornback returned to their jobs at City Hall after they made bail.
