Sentenced to five years
James A. Clark (1962) pleaded guilty April 26 in LaRue Circuit Court to several counts. Final sentencing was June 3. He was sentenced to five years for one count of trafficking in marijuana, more than 5 pounds; five years for one count of cultivation of marijuana, five or more plants; 12 months for one count of buy or possession of drug paraphernalia; and 45 days for one count of possession of marijuana, with all time to run concurrently for a total of five years. Probation was denied.
Declared a fugitive
Christopher Eugene Ray (1976) was declared a fugitive June 3 in LaRue Circuit Court. He faces charges of first-degree possession of controlled substance; second-degree possession of controlled substance; operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs; and controlled substance not in original container.
The case against William H. Thompson (1956) was dismissed June 3 in LaRue Circuit Court. A charge of possession of handgun by a convicted felon was diverted on March 22, 2011, for two years.
Mark Montez Barnett (1989) failed to appear June 3 in LaRue Circuit Court. A bench warrant was issued and he was declared a fugitive. He was charged with carrying a concealed deadly weapon, no operator license and possession of defaced firearm in a 2012 case and according to records, has not met his financial obligations to the court.
Leonard Paul Lege Jr. (1985) was sentenced to five years, conditionally discharged, June 3 in LaRue Circuit Court, on a charge of flagrant nonsupport. He was ordered to pay $350 per month in child support for current and arrearage. He was fined $185.
Ethan Robert Ferguson (1978) was sentenced to five years, probated and conditionally discharged, June 3 in LaRue Circuit Court, on a charge of flagrant nonsupport. He was ordered to pay $650 per month in child support. He was fined $265.
