 Failed to appear

Joseph Skaggs (1979) failed to appear July 2 in LaRue Circuit Court. A bench warrant was issued and he was declared a fugitive. Bond was set at $85 to be applied to partial court fees. Skaggs was charged in 2010 with theft of farm equipment.

 

Failed to appear

Jennifer L. Ahmer (1984) failed to appear July 2 in LaRue Circuit Court. A bench warrant was issued and she was declared a fugitive. She was found guilty last year of two counts of complicity, possession of controlled substance.

 

Bench warrant recalled

A bench warrant was recalled July 2 on Michael Aubrey Jr. (1977) who is serving a sentence in Hardin County. His next court date is March 4, 2013.

 

Failed to appear

Charles A. Buckley IV (1986) failed to appear July 2 in LaRue Circuit Court. A bench warrant was issued. Bond was set at $385 (amount owed). He was declared a fugitive. Buckley was sentenced to seven years probated in 2008 for second-degree burglary and theft by unlawful taking of firearm.

 

Probation denied

A motion for shock probation for Jamarquis Handley (1983) was denied July 2 in LaRue Circuit Court. The judge said probation would unduly depreciate the seriousness of his convictions. Handley is serving seven years on a charge of trafficking in controlled substance.

 

Guilty plea

Atari Markeem Hardin pleaded guilty July 2 in LaRue Circuit Court to one count of flagrant nonsupport. Recommended sentence is five years, conditionally discharged. Final sentencing is Aug. 7. Hardin is furloughed until final sentencing.

 

Payment on statue

Jeremy S. Veatch (1987), the driver who struck the Lincoln as a Boy statue in 2011, still owes $900 in damages. The sculpture was dragged under Veatch’s car and was so damaged, it had to be re-cast. Veatch told the judge he is unable to work as he broke his arm five weeks ago.

 

Diversion completed

Kelly L. Woods (1979) completed a diverted sentence on one count of second-degree criminal possession of forged instrument. The charge was dismissed/diverted July 2 in LaRue Circuit Court.

 

Failed to appear

Brandon Christopher Branham (1992) failed to appear July 2 in LaRue Circuit Court. A bench warrant was issued and bond set at $20,000 cash only. He was declared a fugitive. Case to be re-assigned for trial. Charges include receiving stolen property over $300 and complicity; and theft by deception and complicity.

 

Failed to appear

Joseph Edward Whelan Jr. (1976) failed to appear July 2 in LaRue Circuit Court. A bench warrant was issued and bond set at $15,000. He is charged with criminal abuse, first-degree, child 12 or under, fourth-degree assault and resisting arrest.
