The cost of a glass of water just went up – a little.
The Public Service Commission has approved a 30 cent increase per 1,000 gallons of water to LaRue County Water District No. 1. The cost will be passed on to county customers and will go into effect with this month’s water bills, according to LCWD manager Steve Gardner.
The minimum water bill was set at $12.50 in 2004. The PSC approved a new minimum rate of $12.80 for the first 1,000 gallons.
