LaRue Fiscal Court approved 2009 dog licensing fees, which Judge-Executive Tommy Turner said are “totally restructured” from last year.
Under the new requirements, electronically chipped dogs with state required rabies vaccinations will need no tags; the owners only will have to register them. Owners of dogs with chips but who have not received rabies vaccinations will pay $4 for registration.
Spayed and neutered dog fees are $4 per tag; $6 for non-spayed/neutered. A discount of $3 per tag will be given for all dogs that have received rabies shots.
