Three injury accidents reported in LaRue County

By Linda Ireland

The Christmas holiday proved dangerous to motorists with at least three wrecks occurring last week.

LaRue County Deputy Matt Darst investigated a three-vehicle crash on Old E’town Road about 7 p.m. Dec. 26.

Kim Burns, 18, of Elizabethtown, was driving a 2006 Scion east when, according to witnesses, she attempted to pass two vehicles in a no passing zone. She ran off the right side of the roadway as she swerved to avoid a westbound vehicle. The Scion struck a grass embankment, skidded on its side and came to rest right side up.
