LaRue County is eligible to receive state funding to assist with cleanup of flooded areas.
Last week, Gov. Steve Beshear announced LaRue, along with 83 other flood-damaged counties, could apply for a portion of $1.6 million in emergency matching grants. The money is to be used to help the counties clean up solid waste generated by floodwaters. The eligible counties are those that declared a state of emergency because of the major flood event earlier this month.
