Council asked to consider parade laws

-A A +A

Notes from Nov. 9 meeting of Hodgenville City Council

By Linda Ireland

Phillip Setters spoke on behalf of Lincoln Days, asking Hodgenville City Council to pass an ordinance forbidding the “throwing of any objects” from parade floats and banning pedestrians from walking in front of vehicles in the parade.

He also asked the city to check into grants to purchase more safety cones and barrels to block access to the parade route. In the past, the state provided 400 cones. This year, only 100 were provided.
