A civil suit filed by a contractor against the LaRue County Community Fair and Livestock Exhibition was settled last month. However, Calvin Hornback, the man who built the “Morrison-Phelps” building at the fairgrounds, has requested a new trial.
Hornback was contracted by the fair board in 2010 to construct a 40x72-feet building on the grounds on Greensburg Street. The building was paid for in part by a grant for $82,100 from the Kentucky Agriculture Commission.
