Compassionate Friends to hold candlelight ceremony for bereaved parents

Self-help organization meets monthly

The Bardstown-Nelson County Chapter of The Compassionate Friends will take part in a worldwide candle lighting program at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 13 at the Hospice of Nelson County office, 111 N. Third St., Bardstown. The entrance is at the rear of the building.

The event will honor the loss of children of any age and consists of readings and special music. Candles will be provided for the ceremony.

Those attending are encouraged to bring photos or other remembrances of the child for the memory table.

Light refreshments and sharing time will follow the candle lighting.

The group meets 7 p.m. the second Thursday of each month at the Hospice of Nelson County office.
