Boy Scouts consolidate
Locust Grove Baptist Church, 1817 Red Mill Road, Elizabethtown, is hosting Boy Scout Troop meetings at 7 p.m. on Monday nights. Troop 151 of Hodgenville has consolidated with Troop 369, chartered by the church. Boy Scouts are ages 11 to 18. For more information, call Robert Bush at 270-734-1019.
Elvis and Meatloaf perform
Elvis and Meatloaf, AKA The Perkins Brothers from Ball Hollow, will be in concert 11:30 a.m. Sept. 14 at Bennie’s Barn Antique Mall in Glendale. There is no charge to attend.
The brothers perform a free concert 3:30-5 p.m. that day at the Rolling Fork Iron Horse Festival in New Haven.
Iron Horse Festival
New Haven’s Rolling Fork Iron Horse Festival is Sept. 14. Booth rentals available by calling 502-549-3177. If you would like to participate in the parade, download a registration form at www.newhaven.ky.gov or pick up a form at New Haven City Hall. The parade will be 2:15 p.m.
Wellness on Wheels
Hardin Memorial Hospital’s Wellness on Wheels mobile health unit will be available 7:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Sept. 16 at Hometown IGA. Hafer to speak at Woman’s Club
The Hodgenville Woman’s Club will meet 6:30 p.m. Sept. 17. Diane Hafer from the Hardin County Performing Arts Center will speak about future programs. FREE MOVIE NIGHT: Old Dogs
Free Movie Night, sponsored by the City of Hodgenville and The LaRue County Herald News, will be 7 p.m. Sept. 28 at Hodgenville Civic Center, 200 S. Lincoln Blvd. The movie will be “Old Dogs.” There is no charge to attend and free popcorn is included.
Flaget Memorial Hospital Health Fair
Flaget Memorial Hospital will offer a health fair 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 28. Free and low-cost screenings available, kids’ zone, free health information, giveaways and refreshments available. Lincoln Days quilt show
