 Democratic Woman’s Club meets

The LaRue County Democratic Woman’s Club will meet at 7 p.m. Oct. 24 in the small courtroom at the LaRue County Courthouse. Use the back door. For more information, call 270-401-3414.

 

Fiscal Court date changed; Bluegrass Pipeline update

LaRue Fiscal Court will meet 9 a.m. Oct. 25 in the small courtroom at the LaRue County Courthouse. Sonya Mouser-Unnoppet will provide updates about the proposed Bluegrass Pipeline project and offer magistrates a chance to ask questions about easements and natural gas liquids.

 

FREE MOVIE NIGHT: Hocus Pocus

Free Movie Night is 7 p.m. Oct. 26 at Hodgenville Civic Center. The movie is “Hocus Pocus” with Sarah Jessica Parker and Bette Midler. No charge for admission, drink and popcorn. The PG movie lasts 96 minutes.

 

Free movie at adult daycare

Sunrise Manor Adult Daycare, 80 Phillips Lane, Hodgenville, will host a free, G-rated movie, “Spooky Buddies” at noon Oct. 26. “The Big Green,” rated PG, will be shown at noon Nov. 23. For more information, call 270-358-2147.

 

Trick-or-Treat

Trick-or-Treat time is 6-8 p.m. Oct. 31.

 

Time change

Daylight Saving Time will take effect 2 a.m. Nov. 3. Set clocks back one hour.

 

Festival of Trees

The Hodgenville Woman’s Club, The Lincoln Museum and LaRue County Chamber of Commerce will sponsor the Festival of Trees 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Nov. 14-15; and noon-7:30 p.m. Nov. 16, in the Lincoln Museum Community Room. Participants can enter a decorated tree, wreath, garland or similar holiday decoration ($10 per tree; $5 for wreath or garland). Register items by Nov. 5. All items entered will be placed for silent auction. Auction and chili supper is Nov. 16. For registration forms, contact the Chamber at 270-358-3411 or The Lincoln Museum at 270-358-3163. 

 

Veterans Day Parade

The Veterans Day Parade is 2 p.m. Nov. 10 in downtown Hodgenville.

 

District Court canceled

LaRue District Court will not be held Nov. 6 as the judge will be attending District Judge’s College. Any cases scheduled for that day will be continued to Nov. 13.
