 Change in mail collection times at Hodgenville Post Office

Effective March 1, Hodgenville Post Office mail lobby drops and outside blue collection box last pick up will be changed to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. For more information, contact James Senig at 270-358-3404.


Friends of the Library to meet

The Friends of the LaRue County Public Library will meet 5 p.m. March 1 in the library’s meeting room. It is open to anyone interested in joining.


Ancestral Trails to meet

Ancestral Trails Historical Society will meet 7 p.m. March 2 at the Hardin County Public Library. Beverly Heath will present a program about moonshine, alcohol in a dry county and when LaRue County went dry. For more information, call 270-862-3209.


The Incredible Colon to visit Towne Mall

“The Incredible Colon,” a walk-through exhibit, will be available 10 a.m.-4 p.m. March 3 at Towne Mall, Elizabethtown. The giant colon provides information about various health concerns which may occur to the digestive tract and is sponsored by Hardin Memorial Hospital and Lincoln Trail District Cancer Council. Free literature will be distributed by healthcare professionals.


WORKSHOP: Getting Started, Family Child Care Home

Daylight Savings Time changes March 11. Be prepared to “spring ahead” one hour.


Parkinson’s Support Group

Focus Talent presentation

The Lincoln Trail Career Center is holding a presentation for employers 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. March 15 at Elizabethtown Community and Technical College to inform employers in Kentucky about a job-matching system called Focus Talent. A box lunch is provided, but space is limited. Make reservations by March 9 to jim@ltadd.org.

A small business workshop is planned for March 20 at Campbellsville University’s Brockman Center. The speakers and their tentative topics are Dr. Pat Cowherd, Dean of the School of Business and Economics (communications); Dr. Rick Corum, Associate Dean of the School of Business and Economics (management); Dr. Bill Adams, associate professor (organizational leadership); Chrys Hines, associate professor (computer information systems); Amanda Ewing, instructor (marketing-social media); and Chuck Crain, business and economics instructor.
