Weight loss program
The LaRue County Health Department – in partnership with the LaRue County Extension office – is offering a 10-week weight loss program at the LaRue County Senior Center, 112 N. Walters Ave., Hodgenville. The class begins at 11:30 a.m. and is open to anyone in the community. The LaRue County Fair continues through June 28.
Bingo at the Library
The LaRue County Public Library will host bingo 5 p.m. June 26. Call 270-358-3851 to register.
Blood drive in New Haven
There will be a blood drive 9 a.m.-2 p.m. June 29 at New Haven/Rolling Fork Fire Department, 362 Center St., New Haven.
Park has reduced services on June 30
Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historic Park will have reduced visitor services June 30 due to employee safety training. The Birthplace Unit will be open 8 a.m.-6:45 p.m.; Boyhood Home Unit at Knob Creek will be open 9 a.m.-4 p.m. There will be no interpretive programs offered at Knob Creek. There will be three interpretive programs offered at the Birthplace Unit at 10:45 a.m., 2:15 p.m. and 4:15 p.m.
Blood drive in Glendale
There will be a blood drive 2:30-7:30 p.m. June 30 at Glendale Christian Church, 119 West Main St., Glendale.

CLASS: Living with Alzheimer’s
A class for caregivers of Alzheimer’s disease patients will be 10 a.m. to noon July 9 at the Hardin County Public Library, 100 Jim Owens Drive, Elizabethtown. A donation is suggested. Hear from caregivers and professionals about resources, monitoring care and providing meaningful connection for the person with late stage Alzheimer’s and their families. Rolling Thunder to meet
Rolling Thunder, Inc., Kentucky Chapter Four, will meet 2 p.m. July 13, at Colvin Community Center, 230 Freedoms Way, Radcliff.
The Wheeler family reunion will be noon, July 13 at the LaRue County Sportsman’s Club. Any family or friend of the Wheeler/Gore family is welcome. Bring a covered dish.
Class of 1969
The LaRue County High School Class of 1969 will hold its 45th reunion on Sept. 6 at the Thurman Phillip House/Claudia’s Tea House in Sonora. The meal is $20 per person, choice of chicken or catfish. Send your check to Violette McMurty, 698 Nolin Road, Sonora. Make checks out to LCHS Class of 1969. Activities begin at 5:30 p.m., with meal at 6:30 p.m. Deadline for meal payment is Aug. 23 (specify meal selection on check).
