Lincoln Days accepting applications

LaRue County Reads
Volunteer to tutor a child in reading for as little as one-half hour each week at one of the local schools through LaRue County Reads. Volunteers must attend a short training class. The next training will be 10 a.m. Sept. 14 at the Board of Education. Training will last about one hour. Extension District Board to meet

Courthouse annex to be closed
The LaRue County Courthouse Annex will be closed Oct. 15 as state-mandated furlough day. All Circuit Clerk services, including renewal of driver licenses, will be unavailable. County offices in the main courthouse will be open.
The LaRue County Chamber of Commerce luncheon is noon-1 p.m. Oct. 17 at the Lincoln Museum Community Room. The speaker is Mike Harmon. Cost is $8; reservation due by noon, Oct. 16.
Campbellsville University will bring a production of the musical “Hairspray” to the Hodgenville Civic Center 7 p.m. Oct. 26 and 27 and 3 p.m. Oct. 28.
