Rolling Thunder meets
Rolling Thunder, Inc., Kentucky Chapter Four, will meet 2 p.m. Dec. 1 in the Colvin Community Center, 230 Freedoms Way, Radcliff. Meetings are open to the public and dues are $30 per year. Anyone can join, even though many members are veterans and ride motorcycles, you don’t need to be a veteran or ride a bike to join. The major function of Rolling Thunder Inc. is to publicize the POW/MIA issue and committed to helping homeless and disabled veterans of all wars and other veterans’ issues. Holiday wreath-making class
The Hardin County Extension office, 201 Peterson Dr., Elizabethtown, will host a holiday wreath-making class 6 p.m. Dec. 3. Class fee is $5. Call 270-765-4121 to register.
Community Education classes offered
LaRue County Community Education is offering “Christmas Candy Making” 6:30 p.m. Dec. 3 at the LaRue County Extension office. Participants will make cream pull candy the night of the class, taste samples, and receive recipes for other easy Christmas candies. The class is $5 and preregistration is required. EleCTriC to hold free holiday concert
The Elizabethtown Community and Technical College Band “EleCTriC” will hold its annual holiday concert, “An Electric Holiday,” 7 p.m. Dec. 3 in the ECTC science auditorium. There will be sing-alongs, the Jingle Bell Hop, and special visits by The Grinch, Max (his dog), and Santa. The concert is free and open to the public. Light Up Hodgenville
Christmas in Hodgenville activities will be Dec. 7. The Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring Christmas at Creek Front the same evening. Businesses should plan to place their Creek Front display between Nov. 30 and Dec. 6. Displays must be taken down no later than Jan. 5. For more information, contact the Chamber at 270-358-3411.
Compassionate Friends candle-lighting
The Central Kentucky Chapter of The Compassionate Friends will have a candle-lighting memorial service in honor of deceased children at 6:45 p.m. Dec. 8. The event will be in the Kid-Wise building, 195 City Park Road, Campbellsville, adjacent to Miller Park. Bring pictures, mementos or ornaments for an outdoor tree. The Hodgenville Woman’s Club will hold a blood drive noon to 5 p.m. Dec. 10 at the clubhouse.
Library hosts gift wrap party
The LaRue County Public Library will have a gift wrap party 4-7 p.m. Dec. 12. If you need a secret place to wrap presents, the library will have gift wrap, tape and bows or you can bring your own. Punch and cookies will be served. The book club will meet 6 p.m. Dec. 19; Bingo will be held 6 p.m. Dec. 26.
FREE MOVIE NIGHT: 12 Dogs of Christmas
Free Movie Night is 7 p.m. Dec. 21 at Hodgenville Civic Center. The 2005 movie is “12 Dogs of Christmas.” No charge for admission, drink and popcorn. The G-rated movie lasts 102 minutes.
