Diabetes update class
A diabetes update class by Vanessa Paddy will be held at the Extension Service office at 10:30 a.m. March 2. Class is open to everyone and will discuss preventing complications. Sponsored by the County Extension homemaker organization.
Ancestral Trails to meet

Parent Advisory Council to meet
The LaRue County Schools Parent Advisory Council will meet 6:30 p.m. March 8 in the LCHS library. The agenda includes discussion of the results of the parent involvement evaluation/survey including next steps or issues for further consideration. Library announces new hours
Beginning March 8, the LaRue County Public Library will extend its hours on Monday through Friday 8 a.m.-7 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Christian Women’s luncheon

Public Retirees to meet
Kentucky Public Retirees, Lincoln Trail Chapter, will meet 11:30 a.m. March 8 at Stone Hearth Restaurant, 1001 N. Mulberry St., Elizabethtown. The guest speaker will be Kelly Barron, director of the Radcliff-Fort Knox Tourism Commission.
Board of Health to meet

Woman’s Club to meet

Booth reservations are being taken for the annual Extension Expo to be held 10 a.m.-2 p.m. March 20 in the LaRue County High School gym. Contact the Extension Service office at 358-3401 or stop by the office for a booth reservation form. The commercial booth fee is $20 with no charge for non-profit booths. Reservations are taken in the order returned.
Dental Hygiene Clinic
Elizabethtown Community and Technical College Dental Hygiene Clinic will offer “Seal-Out Day” March 27. Free dental sealants for children ages 8-13 will be provided 7:30 a.m.-2 p.m. The clinic is located in the basement of the student center, 600 College Street Road, E’town. Children must be accompanied by parent or guardian. Limited to first 70 patients to register.
LaRue County’s spring clean-up is noon-4 p.m. March 26 and 8 a.m.-noon March 27 at the county maintenance barn across from the high school. Items accepted include appliances, tires, scrap metal, vehicle batteries, electronics and furniture. No hazardous or household waste accepted. Master Clothing Volunteer
The Cooperative Extension Service is recruiting new leaders for the Kentucky Master Clothing Volunteer program. Interested persons with prior experience in clothing construction will be selected for intense, in-depth state training. Volunteers must commit to give back teaching hours in their community.
