Family Resource Advisory Council to meet

Hodgenville Family Resource Center Advisory Council will meet noon July 20 in the HES library. The public is welcome to attend. For more information, call Melissa Pearman at 358-3506.

Facebook Q&A class

A “Facebook Q&A” class will be held 1:30 p.m. July 20 at the Extension Service office. LaRue County Public Library Director Niki Carter will answer your questions about using Facebook and review how to use privacy settings. The class is open to everyone and is sponsored by the County Homemaker organization.

Wellness on Wheels

Hardin Memorial Hospital’s Wellness on Wheels will be at Hometown IGA 7 a.m.-noon July 26. Blood pressure, blood glucose, facial skin analysis and body mass index weight at no charge. Cholesterol panel, $20; hemoglobin (anemia), $5.

Child care training

Community Coordinated Child Care will have a workshop “How to start a family child care home” 4-5:30 p.m. Aug. 17 at 4-C office, 54 First St., Elizabethtown. Pre-registration is required by calling Alice Brewer at 360-9911.

Mobile Mammogram Unit

The mobile mammogram unit from Brown Cancer Center in Louisville will be at the Extension Office 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Sept. 3. Call 358-3401 to schedule an appointment. Cost is $138.15 for those without insurance. Those with insurance should bring your card and the cost will be turned in to your insurance. For lower cost mammogram options, contact the LaRue County Health Department. The mobile unit has digital mammography equipment. This is co-sponsored by the County Extension Homemaker organization.
