Trick-or-Treat on the Square begins at 5 p.m. Oct. 31 with costume contests. It will be followed by citywide Trick-or-Treat 6-8 p.m.
Senior Citizens music

Concert for cure
An American Diabetes Association benefit, “A Little Bit Longer” will be 5 p.m. Nov. 1 at The Historic State Theatre in Elizabethtown. Four regional bands will entertain. Gordon Thomas performs at Birthplace
Gordon Thomas will perform first person interpretation of the African American experience during Abraham Lincoln’s time in Kentucky 1-3 p.m. Nov. 1 at the Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historic Park in the Visitors Center auditorium.

Adult sewing classes
Adult sewing classes to be taught by Master Clothing Volunteer, Rosa Smith at the LaRue County Extension office, 807 Old Elizabethtown Rd., Hodgenville. 1-3 p.m. Nov. 3 – Fitting a pattern to my body. Class size is limited. To register, call the Extension office at 358-3401.
County Extension Council
County Extension Council will meet Nov. 3 at Noon at the Extension Office located at 807 Old Elizabethtown Rd. There will also be a District Board meeting immediately following the conclusion of the council meeting. These meetings are open to the public.
Ancestral Trails Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Nov. 6 at the Hardin County Public Library in Elizabethtown. John R. Clark will present the program. “Gen. Ben Hardin Helm”. For more information call 862-3209.
A bus tour will be going to Washington, D.C. for the unveiling of the fourth Lincoln penny on Nov. 10-14. 12 seats are available. Anyone interested in going on this trip should contact the Chamber office at 358-3411.
Veterans Day ceremony
