If you haven’t yet signed your child up for 4-H Camp, now is the time to do so.  Generally, camp is open to LaRue County youth ages 9 to 14 years old or fourth through eighth grades. New this year, current third-graders may attend.

LaRue County will attend 4-H Camp at Lake Cumberland June 24-27. The cost for camp is $170 which includes all meals, transportation, and activities except for the crafts class fee and T-shirts.

T-shirts are available for $7.

Camp activities include swimming, boating, fishing, arts and crafts, nature, low ropes, high ropes, archery, riflery, nutrition and sports. Campers stay in large cabins with campers and teen and adult leaders.

Youth can select who they would like to share a cabin with so that if they have friends going to camp, they can all stay in the same cabin.

Camp applications are available at the Extension office, 807 Old Elizabethtown Road in Hodgenville, across from Magnolia Bank. Office hours 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
