This weekend, while recovering from a bout of bronchitis, I watched one of my favorite movies, “A League of Their Own.”
The 1992 film is a fictionalized account of the first female professional baseball league and a must-see for any mother-daughter movie night.
True story: During World War II when many of America’s young men – including baseball players – were fighting overseas, a league was formed for women.
