I’ve covered Dinky Gowen’s Kid’s Day Christmas Spectacular for the newspaper for several years. I’d drop by the Park and Recreation Community Center and take a few photos of the magic show.
It has always been enjoyable … but face it, it was work.
It has been many years since I was accompanied by small children to the event. Watching the performance through the lens of a camera falls far short of experiencing it through the eyes of a child.
