It’s that time of year when all around us are the sights and sounds of Christmas. These all remind us that Christmas is near. Bells will be ringing, choirs singing and Christmas music filling the air.

I am concerned that the noises of Christmas might cause us not to hear the sounds of that first Christmas night – the noisy inn and the mother’s lullaby.
