 This Sunday is Father’s Day and as such it is a very special day for most families in our nation. Fathers may not always be all they ought to be but when Jesus wanted to illustrate the love and nature of God, he wanted us to think of God as a heavenly father.

God’s word commands that we honor our fathers. This means we give them particular attention, special regard and seek to show their value and worth. We are to honor our father every day and not just the third Sunday in June.
