COLUMN: Fall soil sampling is a good practice

Fall soil sampling allows LaRue County farmers (and homeowners) time to utilize University of Kentucky research-based fertility recommendations before spring planting.

The turn-around time for samples from the Extension Office to the UK Soil

Testing Lab is much faster in the fall, usually within a week, because fewer people are submitting samples this time of year. Spring turnaround time can approach three weeks during the busiest times.
