Clayton Homes in Giles County, Tenn., is laying off 135 workers, according to the Nashville Business Journal.
Clayton Homes, the nation’s largest maker and financer of prefab and mobile homes, began layoffs Dec. 5.
Last fall Clayton Homes announced layoffs at the company’s headquarters in Maryville, Tenn., and the idling of plants in Hodgenville and Milton, Pa., with a total of 370 employees affected.
Clayton Homes, a subsidiary of Nebraska-based Berkshire Hathaway Inc., had employed more than 14,000 people at 43 plants.
