Musical performers, speakers and informative programs will highlight the 73rd annual co-op meeting of Nolin Rural Electric Cooperative Corporation Friday. Festivities commence at 5 p.m. June 10 at John Hardin High School.
For musical entertainment, LaRue County native and rising Nashville star, Clay Underwood, will sing.
“We are very excited about having him perform at the annual meeting,” said Patsy Whitehead, Nolin Communications coordinator.
About 6 p.m., artist and singer Rick Arnold will entertain the children as well as adults in the main gym.
Another entertaining highlight for children is the free balloon fun houses and slides located behind the school. Caricaturist Denny Whalen will offer free portraits.
In addition to hosting great entertainment options, the event will also showcase a collection of booths and a health fair.
Although the meeting offers free entertainment and fun for the entire community, Whitehead said the main reason for holding the event is to conduct the cooperative business session, which will begin at 7 p.m. in the main gym.
"Members who bring their pre-registration cards, which were mailed the first of June, will zip right through registration," said Whitehead. "Once registered, Nolin members will receive a special gift and are eligible for door prizes." Whitehead says the grand prize winner will have their choice of an Apple iPad or laptop computer.
