Hodgenville City Police will soon be outfitted with surveillance cameras in squad cars.
Chief Steve Johnson told City Council Monday that Elizabethtown City Police had donated 10 of the cameras and wiring to HCP.
“E’town went digital and had no use for (the equipment),” he said, adding that the equipment was relatively new.
Johnson said the cameras will “reduce liability to the city on traffic stops.”
“I appreciate Deputy Chief Troy Dye (ECP) making such a generous donation,” he said.
