Hodgenville City Council agreed Monday – for the second consequent month – to postpone first reading of a proposed 2 percent restaurant tax.
Councilman Jim Phelps again made the motion to table the matter. He asked City Clerk MaDonna Hornback to provide copies of tax ordinances of five neighboring cities for comparison.
Hornback said she could find them online and would provide copies. Council members Bonnie Clark and Kenny DeVore also requested copies.
