Monday night, Hodgenville City Council voted to table discussion of the Charles “Red” Hazle building due to the owner’s health problems.
The concrete block structure on the corner of North Walters Avenue and West Water Street has been a source of contention between Hazle and the council since 2003 when the council attempted to have it razed.
Hazle went to court and was able to stop the proceedings. He agreed to make improvements to the building and has been reporting his progress every month or so to the council.
