Hodgenville City Council had first reading of the annual budget ordinance May 14.
The budget includes $1.2 million in general fund revenues including $318,700 from occupational taxes, $273,750 in city taxes, $265,000 from insurance surtax and $36,925 miscellaneous.
The budget for July 1, 2012 to June 30, 2013 includes also $309,000 in carryover.
Expenditures for general funds include $495,200 for police, $631,293 for capital outlay, $56,882 for fire department and $20,000 for Park and Recreation debt.
