Hodgenville City Council held second reading on a property tax ordinance Oct. 14. First reading was held Sept. 19.
Total real property assessment is $100,693,751; tangible property is $11,216,820.
Last year’s rate, 12.5 cents per $100 assessed value on real estate and personal property, was increased by .02 percent. The new rate is 12.7 cents per $100.
Residents will see about a $2 increase on their bills, said Hodgenville Mayor Terry Cruse.
The city’s vehicle tax of 19.5 cents remains unchanged.
