First Kentucky Brigade Band to play at Bardstown church

The First Kentucky Brigade Band will present a free concert of Civil War era music at 4 p.m. March 25 at the Episcopal Church of the Ascension, 211 N. Third St., Bardstown. The First Kentucky Brigade Band is a historical re-enactment group, portraying the headquarters band for the famed Orphan Brigade. The band, numbering six instrumentalists plus a vocalist, performs arrangements found in Civil War bands’ band books, on historic Civil War-era instruments. For more information, call 348-4317.
