 Gospel singing Sunday at Buffalo Baptist

Buffalo Baptist Church will have a “singing and sharing” with Joe Milby at 6 p.m. Feb. 24.

 

Steadfast Baptist Church hosts gospel singing

Steadfast Baptist Church, 200 S. Lincoln Blvd., Hodgenville (Civic Center) will have a gospel singing at 6 p.m. Feb. 24 with Linda Grimes, Joy Cox and Patti Chaudoin. Call 765-9726. 

 

‘Cooking for Christ’ program for youth at Lane Lincoln

Lane Lincoln CME will sponsor a “Cooking for Christ” lesson for the youth at 5 p.m. Saturday.

 

Black History Sunday; special guests to share fellowship

First Baptist Church of Hodgenville will celebrate Black History on Sunday. Rev. Eugene Livers, associate minister of First Baptist Church, Springfield, will speak that morning. Also, Luckett Lodge 137 and the Eastern Star of LaRue County Chapter 110 will fellowship with Lane Lincoln on Sunday.

 

Churches collecting shoes for water

First Baptist Church Hodgenville, Tonieville Road, and Friendship Christian Church are collecting pairs of shoes for the WaterStep program. Shoes can be dropped off at FBC during business hours. To donate to Friendship, call Jean French at 358-4841. WaterStep sells the shoes and uses the proceeds to fund drinking water projects in Appalachia and central America. 

 

‘Applying the Bible to Today’s Life’ topic of Bible study

Locust Grove Baptist Church is hosting an ongoing Bible study: “Applying the Bible to Today’s Life” on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. The church is at 1817 Red Mill Road, Elizabethtown. Call 234-1351.

 

Severns Valley hosting risk conference on Monday

Severns Valley Baptist Church, 1100 Ring Road, Elizabethtown, is hosting a free “risk” conference Feb. 25. Learning new ways to share God’s love is the focus of the event.  First message of the day begins at 10:30 a.m. Descriptions of breakout sessions and information on facilitators is at www.kybaptist.org/risk. 

Women are invited to a luncheon session with guest speakers. The fee is $7 per person and advance registration is required at www.kybaptist.org/risk.
