Freedoms Way holds free community dinner
Freedoms Way Church, 1170 Old E’town Road, Hodgenville, will hold a free community dinner 11 a.m.-1 p.m. April 21. Spaghetti, garlic bread, salad, dessert and drink will be served. For more information, call Linda Wolford at 358-8224.

Mount Tabor Baptist Church holds cookout and auction
Mount Tabor Baptist Church will host a cookout and auction April 21 to raise funds for the Christian Life Center. Cookout and silent auction begins at 4:30 p.m. Hamburgers, baked beans, cole slaw and desserts available for donation only. Silent auction ends at 6:30 p.m. with traditional auction being held 6-6:30 p.m. Members of the community may drop donated auction items off 5-9 p.m. April 19-20 at Mount Tabor’s Christian Life Center. SpringHaven GRACE Conference
Grace Heartland Church, 801 Pear Orchard Road, Elizabethtown, will host the SpringHaven GRACE (Get Real and Create Excellence) conference on April 21. Registration is $50 and will include three speakers (Sheila Raye Charles, daughter of Ray Charles; Amy Roloff of Little People Big World; and The Spa Girls), four workshops, lunch, snacks and dinner and a loaded swag bag. James Hogan to speak at Barren Run
James Hogan will speak during morning worship service April 22 at Barren Run Baptist Church. Hogan is pastor of Faithbridge Community Church in Pittsburgh, Pa. He is part of a team of six speakers who will address churches of the Severns Valley Baptist Association that day. Potluck will follow service.

Charles Juma of Kenya will speak during morning service April 29 at Barren Run Baptist Church. Juma attends Southern Seminary and is a missionary in Africa. A potluck follows the service.
