Good Friday service

The LaRue County Ministerial Association is planning a Good Friday service noon April 2 at First Baptist Church, 730 Tonieville Road, Hodgenville. A meal will be provided for those attending. A love offering will be received for the Ministerial Association‘s Benevolence Program which provides financial and spiritual assistance to a large number of individuals and families in LaRue County each year. Community Way of the Cross

The Community Way of the Cross will be 5:30 p.m. Good Friday, April 2. Participants will walk through downtown Hodgenville, stopping at selected sites to pray and contemplate the Passion of Jesus. The procession will begin at the parking lot of Our Lady of Mercy Church, 208 Walters Avenue, and will end at Creekfront Park. Rain does not cancel.

Egg hunt in Roanoke

Roanoke House of Prayer will have an Easter celebration 4 p.m. April 3. There will be 5,000 Easter eggs, puppets, clowns, food and prizes for the entire family. The egg hunt will be for children 0-12 years old. For more information, call 358-8565.

The youth of First Baptist and Lane Lincoln CME will hold an Easter egg hunt 2 p.m. April 4. For ages up to 12. Egg donations are requested.

Operation InAsMuch

Area churches coordinate a community-wide Operation InAsMuch each year. OI is a one-day mission blitz that assists local residents. The program is seeking projects – minor home repairs, yard work, debris removal – for their May 15 mission day. The projects will be performed at no cost.
