Barren Run celebration

Barren Run Baptist Church will celebrate its 150th anniversary Sept. 11-13. The Rev. John Walker will lead the Friday service at 7 p.m., special music will be provided by David and Deanna Catlett. There will be a cookout at 4 p.m. Saturday followed by bluegrass music at 5:30 p.m. Sunday worship is at 11 a.m. A church-provided meal will follow the service. Music and games for children begin at 2:30 p.m.
