Hodgenville City Police are investigating what appears to be the attempted abduction of a child.
The 12-year-old boy was walking home from school Monday afternoon on Lincoln Boulevard when the driver of a small, tan GMC pickup tried to get his attention, said Hodgenville Police Chief Steve Johnson.
The driver pulled over and “kept motioning” for the boy to come near. No physical contact was made.
The boy used a cell phone to call his mother, who worked nearby.
“She came after him,” Johnson said.
