Because Martin Luther King Jr. Day fell on Monday, last week’s school board meeting was moved to Tuesday and began with the reading of a proclamation to board members by LaRue County Judge-Executive Tommy Turner, which he said was to show appreciation for their service to the school system and the community.
The board elected Ronnie Chelf as chairman and Anita Cruse as co-chair.
Superintendent Sam Sanders presented outgoing chairman Price Smith with a plaque for his leadership on the board.
